Plan maintenance without surprise trading restarts.
Check first
Update without flags checks the official public repository. It never stops or restarts services. Preview downloads can be ahead of GitHub; the CLI will say if the public revision does not yet include compatible update support.

Review positions and back up volumes before maintenance. Apply refuses running/paused services, builds new images and creates stopped containers. Credentials, installation identity and volumes remain. It does not start the new version automatically.

Run rollback while services are stopped. It restores previous source, CLI and image tags, and leaves services stopped. Do not delete maintenance.json or prune rollback images. Rollback does not undo database migrations performed after starting a newer version; that needs your backup.
